About me
I am a wife and mother of 5 kids ages 5-15 and have been in education for 27 years. I taught for 4 1/2 years as a 7-12th grade special education teacher in a public therapeutic day school in Worcester, MA. I then moved into administration and became the Director/Principal of a K-6 public therapeutic day school at the Central Massachusetts Special Education Collaborative. As the Director/Principal for 16 1/2 years, I had students K-12 (age 21) as the school grew and changed each year. For the past 6 years, I have been the Assistant Principal at the Swanson Road Intermediate School (gr. 3-5) in Auburn, MA. I have been a CPI certified instructor since 2001. My special interests are Mental Health, Trauma-Informed teaching, PBIS, and Restorative Practices.
