This course is an essential professional development experience designed for school administrators, department heads, and teacher leaders committed to cultivating inclusive and safe learning environments. In today’s diverse educational landscape, leaders must possess the necessary skills to effectively recognize, interrupt, and mediate instances of prejudice, bias, and hate-based behavior, whether they occur in person, through graffiti, or online. This training moves beyond awareness, focusing squarely on actionable strategies and the development of a proactive, preventative leadership stance. Upon completion of Responding to Hate, leaders won’t just possess a framework for crisis response; they will have a comprehensive plan for long-term culture change and building sustained partnerships with community organizations to reinforce a message of respect and belonging.
